Need advice on upgrading car stereo.

Hello,

I'm using stock head unit connected with iPhone through 3.5mm aux cable. Need advice on chosing speakers to improve bass and overall sound quality. My car currently has 6 stock speakers, 4 6.5" speakers and 2 tweeters. I wanna have rich and stronger bass (I can't get a sub cuz I need space in my trunk) and clear mid and high. So, what should I go for? 1. Replaced 2 front speakers with 2-way speakers. I don't think it's enough? 2. 3-way speakers? No idea at all. 3. A component speaker set? Probably what I'm considering now. And should I replace rear speakers with 2-way speakers or just leave it with stock speakers? Cuz people say rear speakers are for filling the sound.I might replace the headunit after the speakers. Just wanna see how it gows with the stock one. Any idea guys?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
